Nautilus fly reels are the finest reels made. They are the result of an incessant drive to explore, engineer, reinvent, and never stop thinking outside the box. Some of the materials and machining techniques we apply to our reels today did not exist when we started on our mission to make the world’s best fly reels. In a market where cork drags were the pinnacle of reel drag performance—a material that the automotive industry stopped using in the 50s for larger but similar applications—the only option was to reinvent. And reinvent we did, and we've never stopped since.
