Repair / Service Intake Policy
Nautilus Reels is committed to providing prompt, professional service for every reel entrusted to our care. To help us process repairs efficiently, please review the following intake guidelines before sending your product in for service.
Submitting a Reel for Service
All repairs and service requests must include a completed Repair / Service Request Form. This form allows us to identify your reel, understand the requested service, and contact you with updates if needed.
Please include:
- Full name
- Return shipping address
- Email address
- Phone number
- Reel model and serial number (if applicable)
- Description of the service issue or requested work
One form should be submitted for each reel or spool.
Packaging & Shipping
Customers are responsible for shipping products to Nautilus Reels for service.
All reels must:
- Use a sturdy corrugated box with adequate padding
- Remove fly line and backing before shipment
- Do not use padded envelopes or damaged boxes
IMPORTANT: If any of the above criteria are not met, the package will be refused and returned to sender.
Nautilus Reels is not responsible for damage caused during inbound transit due to insufficient packaging.

Intake Review
Upon receipt, each reel will be inspected and entered into our service queue.
If warranty coverage applies, repairs will be completed in accordance with our Warranty Policy.
If service is determined to be outside warranty coverage, we may provide a repair estimate for approval before proceeding.
Turnaround Times
Service times vary seasonally and by repair complexity. Estimated turnaround times may be provided upon request but are not guaranteed.
Incomplete or Unauthorized Submissions
Products received without a completed repair form, sufficient contact information, or clear service instructions may delay processing.
If we are unable to identify the owner or make contact after reasonable attempts, the item may be considered abandoned and may be disposed of after 60 days from receipt.
Unapproved Repairs
If a customer does not approve a quoted non-warranty repair within 60 days of notification, the product may be returned at the customer’s expense or considered abandoned.
Shipping After Service
Return shipping charges, processing fees, and applicable taxes may apply in accordance with our Warranty & Service Policy.
Limitation of Responsibility
Nautilus Reels is not responsible for:
- Fly lines, backing, or accessories left on reels
- Cosmetic wear associated with normal servicing
- Damage caused by prior unauthorized repair attempts
- Loss or delay caused by carriers
