Welcome to our custom shop! This is the place where you can pick items with which to customize your fly reels; from parts that you can install at home to laser etchings performed at the Nautilus Reels factory in Miami, Florida, USA. Some of the custom jobs are purely cosmetic, and others are highly functional. Custom shop items can be ordered as after market parts or with your new reel at your local fly shop. This is your chance to own a reel that is personalized to your liking and perfectly adapted to your fishing style and destination. Pimp your fly fishing reel!

Custom Colors
All Nautilus reels can be ordered with custom colored housings and spools. All available colors are pictured below. Anodizing varies from batch to batch, so we encourage our customers to order a spare spool at the time they order the original reel in a custom color to ensure a proper match. The cost for a custom colored reel in a single color is an additional $100 per reel. Spare spools are an additional $50 as long as they are the same color.

Delivery time for custom orders varies from 2 to 4 weeks, depending on availability. Please contact your local fly shop to process a custom reel order.

All CCF and NV reels can be retrofitted with Big Game handles. The Big Game Handle kit comes complete with screws and counter weight to ensure perfect balance during fast runs. $35.00

Nautilus Hooker
The perfect accessory for your fly reel. Loop your line around the Hooker or or hook your fly on it. No more scratching the rod blank or nicking the cork. Comes Standard on all 2010 NV reels. Available for all Nautilus fly reels. $35.00
Big Game Handles:
All CCF and NV reels can be retrofitted with Big Game handles. The Big Game Handle kit comes complete with screws and counter weight to ensure perfect balance during fast runs. This handle makes reeling in a pure pleasure, and even we were impressed at how much less effort it takes to reel with this custom handle. A must have for any serious big game fly fisher. $35.00

Compact Drag Units:Retro-fit your Nautilus NV 6/7, 8/9, G-7, 10/11, or G-8 fly reel with the compact drag unit used in the NV 5/6. It will make your reel 1/2 oz lighter for a superlight, super effective and superstrong big game outfit. The compact 5/6 drag still delivers plenty of drag for tippets up to 20lbs while lightening your reel even more! Imagine a true 11 wt big game fly reel at only 7.1 oz.! Unbeatable. Custom Color Small Parts:
Customize your reel further by adding custom color small parts: You can match parts to make a uniform color reel or mix different ones to give you contrasting looks. This feature is available for all model reel feet, drag knobs, back plates and hubs (back plate is where it says CCF Disc Brake), handle spindles and the Nautilus Hooker. $35.00 each.
CUSTOM LASER ENGRAVINGS
Custom Engraving
Custom name engraving is avaialble for all Nautilus reel models. The names are permanently engraved onto the bottom of the
housing (see image). Cost for name engraving is $30 and usually takes 5 - 10 business days to
process. Custom logos or signatures are also available, and are laser engraved permanently onto the reels in a location specified by the customer. For corporate logos, minimums apply. Please contact your local fly shop for more information.
Drag Knob DialsAll our fly fishing reel drags share one unique feature that you will not find in many fly reels on the market: perfect drag memory. At a given setting, the reel will always have the same drag tension. To take advantage of this unique feature, we are now offering drag dials on our drag knobs, paired with a small arrow on the frame. Memorize your settings from 1-12 for strike, fight and max, and switch it back and forth during the fight without worries of going too far! This is a must for any serious light tippet angler. $35.00

Fish Engravings by Jorge MartinezCustomers wanted fish engravings and we found a way to do it most elegantly. All our salt water fish are from custom drawings by famous Miami fly fishing artist Jorge Martinez. We asked Jorge to devise ways to put fish on the limited space we have on our reels, and he delivered unique fish drawings: tailing bonefish, permit or redfish, top down tarpon, top down bonefish, a striking striper or a feeding permit. Our trout and steelhead were generated from photographs and manually edited for laser etching.

External Backing Markers
Laser etched in 100 yard increments on the front of the spool of any Nautilus reel, these backing line markers allow you to quickly judge how many yards of backing the fish has taken or how many you have left. When the fish is running, these lines form perfect 100 yard rings that seem to hover above the backing, allowing you to get a good estimate of your backing situation. Great for "across the flats," "across the archipielago," "across the ocean" and "down the river" speedsters when backing capacity is critical. Even better: your friends don't have it - yet! $35.00
